The need for situation awareness in incident management

Despite significant advances in security technology, when it comes to visualising threats such as protest and civil unrest and, providing decision makers with situational awareness, little has changed since World War Two. Most security operations centres receive intelligence from multiple sources. Then, use maps, magnets, and whiteboards to visualise the status, location and movement of threats, assets, and mitigation measures.

Though helpful, these tools give limited functionality and do not reflect the increased complexity in risk that organisations face.

Solution: Threat AI

Threat AI by SIRV offers organisations a significant improvement in functionality and sophistication. Web and mobile apps give rich visualisations to engage stakeholders, artificial intelligence assists decision makers and live events are recorded, ready for review.

Better, faster communication through visuals

In time sensitive environments, quick and easy communication is vital, that’s why visualisations are so valuable. Threat AI leverages visualisations to assist users and give stakeholders contextual understanding.

Threat AI features interactive, bi-directional mapping. This allows users to not only view street maps (and schematics) but also, interact with them. As a result, users can plot threats in areas of interest and update their movement. All the while, Threat AI calculates a threat’s distance from areas of interest and triggers protocols according to user defined parameters.
