Business Resilience
COVID19 was the most impactful global event since the Second World War. It exposed a number of societal vulnerabilities, one of which was the weakness of business to identify, absorb and respond to events that severely disrupt its operations – business resilience.
The UK government has tried to encourage business resilience for example, by launching the ‘Prepare Campaign’, a helpful emergency guidance resource for homes and business. However, its support is limited and there’s an expectation that business will meet the challenge through innovation and adaptation.
One way to address this challenge is through improving intelligence about disruption and, optimising response. SIRV’s innovation helps business meet this challenge.
SIRV uses the latest developments in artificial intelligence (large language models and natural language processing) to identify disruptive events for example, civil unrest and power outages. It maps events in areas of interest, in and around facilities.
Upon identification, SIRV allows a user to quickly (within five clicks) disseminate event information to specific individuals or groups of people via email, text or voicemail. Thereafter, it suggests optimal procedures to help the facility prepare, manage and recover from disruption.
